rollmio is a creative network where anyone can participate in creating video commercials for corporate clients. You can also participate as a promoter for video commercials other members submitted.
Q02 : What is a promoter?
For all projects, the client(brand) will select video commercials they would like rollmio members to promote and spread on the web. You can participate as a promoter by posting any one of the selected commercials to your blog along with a comment. Not only creators, but promoters will also get paid for participating.
Q03 : How much does it cost to use rollmio?
rollmio is absolutely free to register and use. Our revenue comes from clients and we share it with our members who participate in the creative projects.
Q04 : What do I get by making the commercials?
What you receive varies with the client.
In the Pentel project case, for example, all creators selected by the client will
receive $20 each.
Q05 : What are some guidelines I should know when participating in rollmio?
You should have a positive motivation to be creative and have fun. You will be responsible for the material you create, so keep it clean and be sure you are obeying copyright laws. For further information, please read the

Yes, registration and use of rollmio is absulutely free.
Q02 : Who can participate in rollmio?
Anyone over the age of 18. rollmio is not a service limited to people with artistic or creative bacgrounds but for anyone who wants to be creative and have fun. For specifics see

Q03 :Do I need a blog or homepage to use rollmio?
To participate as a creator, you will not need a blog or homepage. To participate as a promoter, you will need a blog to post the videos onto. Your blog must be a blog that you regularly post to with a fair amount of readers.
Q04 :Is registration different for creators and promoters?
Registration is the same. Once you register, you can particpate as either creator or promoter. For some projects you may want to participate as a creator while for some projects you may not have time to create your own video and instead want to promote other people's videoss. If your commercial was not selected by the client to be promoted, you can still participate in the same project as a promoter.

Q01 : When do I receive creative briefs?
Creative briefs can be viewed through your "my page" and will also be sent to the e-mail address you used for registering. Some projects may be sent to only specific demographic groups due to product characteristics.
Q02 : How can I edit my video commercial?
Windows has WindowsMovieMaker and Macintosh has iMovieHD preinstalled, both which allow you to edit video easily. You can also purchase editing software from a wide range of products ranging from professional use to simple to use versions.
Q03 : How do I submit my video commercial?
After you create your masterpiece, upload it to rollmio through your "my page".
Q04 : How long do I have to submit my video commercial?
The period you have to create and submit a video commercial depends on the project and will be mentioned in the creative brief.
Q05 : What will I receive for making a video commercial?
What you receive varies with the client.

Q06 : Is there a limit on how many video commercials I can submit?
You can submit only one video for each project.
Q07 : What video formats can I use to make my commercials?
We accept video files from most digital cameras, camcorders, and cell phones in the avi, mov, mpg, wmv, mp4, mp2, m4v, asf, 3gp, 3g2, amc file formats. We recommend MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format for high quality.
Q08 : Is there a size limit on the commercials I submit?
All videos uploaded have a 100MB file size limit.

Q01 : What happens after I submit my video?
Video commercials submitted to rollmio will be reviewed and selected by the client. Selected videos will be announced at rollmio.com where other rollmio members will be able to promote them by posting them on their blogs. Of the selected videos, top videos will also receive awards and will be announced at rollmio.com. Creators of the selected videos will also be notified through their "my page".
Q02 : On what criteria are the videos judged on?
How and on what criteria the videos are judged on will differ according to the project and will be mentioned in the creative brief.
Q03 : Who will be reviewing the videos?
The client will be reviewing the videos. In some cases, rollmio will assist the client in the review process.

Q01 : What are the guidelines regarding copyright?
All videos submitted to rollmio must obey copyright and intellectual property laws. rollmio respects and will comply with copyright and intellectual property laws and put in effort to screen submitted videos for copyright infringement.
Q02 : What should I be careful of when using music in my video commercials?
Unless your use of music is permitted under the doctrine of Fair Use under US copyright law or under comparable provisions of the copyright laws of other jurisdictions, you will need to be sure that you have the right to use the music in your video. You can do this by getting explicit permission from the copyright holder or use royalty free music. Some resources for royalty-free music are:

Q03 : Who owns the video commercials that I make for rollmio projects?
You will retain ownership of the video commercials. rollmio and the corporate client for which the commercial was created for will have the right to use or distribute the video, in which case rollmio will notify you in advance.
